Go to linkI saw my first kachina perhaps 40 years ago. The encounter locked the mysterious archetypal figure in my mind. I found it evocative and captivating. In 1987 I moved to Santa Fe. I dove into the imagery and art of the desert Southwest, finding particular kinship with the kachinas. They are protective and teaching figures.
